Kaolin Clay
Kaolin Clay
Kaolin Clay is a naturally occurring hydrated aluminum silicate mineral with the chemical formula Al2Si2O5(OH)4.
It is a soft, fine, white mineral known for its excellent brightness, high purity, low abrasiveness, chemical inertness, and good dispersion characteristics. Depending on the application, it is available as washed, refined, calcined, or surface-treated grades.

Applications
Paints & Coatings
Kaolin Clay is widely used as an extender pigment and functional filler in decorative and industrial coatings. It improves opacity, whiteness, suspension stability, scrub resistance, matting effect, and overall film durability while reducing formulation cost.
Paper Industry
In paper manufacturing, Kaolin Clay is used as a coating and filler pigment. It enhances brightness, smoothness, printability, ink receptivity, opacity, and surface finish, producing high-quality printing and writing papers.
Ceramic Industry
Kaolin Clay is an essential raw material in ceramic bodies and glazes. It provides excellent plasticity during shaping, improves green strength, contributes to whiteness after firing, and enhances the mechanical strength of finished ceramic products.
Fiberglass Industry
High-purity Kaolin Clay is used in fiberglass formulations as a source of alumina and silica. It helps improve glass strength, thermal stability, chemical resistance, and processing consistency.
Pesticides & Agrochemicals
Kaolin Clay serves as an inert carrier and diluent in pesticide formulations such as wettable powders (WP), water-dispersible granules (WDG), and dust formulations. It offers excellent dispersibility, controlled particle size, good suspension properties, and chemical compatibility with active ingredients.
Rubber Industry
Kaolin Clay functions as a reinforcing and semi-reinforcing filler in rubber compounds. It improves tensile strength, tear resistance, dimensional stability, surface finish, processability, and hardness while helping optimize production costs.
